From sign-up to your first handover.

1. Download the app: sign up free, then get the Mac beta or the Windows test on Download.
2. Install: unzip it and open DJ back 2 back. On a Mac, move it to Applications first. On Windows, it's in the folder the zip makes.
3. Set up your sound: open your DJ software and log in, then pick your mix and where your partner plays. On a Mac, also pick your gear and your speakers, and allow what macOS asks for the first time, so the other DJ hears your mix. Then follow the setup instructions.
4. Link up: on LiveLive, press "Link up", or invite a DJ you know by their DJ name or a link. Then press Connect in the app.
5. Start the set: First you each answer Who starts?: I'll start, You start or Either. A draw is settled by a coin toss. Once you're linked, you both press READY: "Set starts in" counts down a minute on both screens, then the set starts.
6. Mix: one of you is live. The other hears the live set through their own gear and mixes their next track in.
7. Hand over: the live DJ presses Handover and the other presses Accept handover: the set is theirs. Your partner mixes their track in and mixes yours out, then presses Partner mixed out. You stop your track. Hand it back the same way.

Your window's border shows where you are: green, your decks are clear; red, you're live; flashing red, your own track is still playing; amber, check your partner's fader.
